what i love most about this is the city in the fog! and the fact that the child is showing her back as she looks (maybe) toward/away from the city. It juxtaposes the characters of both subjects very well. the negative space of the sky might be something people will criticize but i like it! it brings out a very unknowning world...a nothingness that i'm always interesting in. the black and white is well done here! the texture of the wave carries out nicely! and the sand too w/ some little wet spots...it also brings out a character of both sand and water...<==

Stunning.
The verticality of the child, the vegetation, the buildings, against the calmth of the waves. The clarity of the surroundings just helps bring the subject out so much.

The sotry that this image tells is really amazing for starts. I mean the city that is off in the fog like this looks truly amazing. The way it has that calming feel about it just really gets to me. The girl standing there on the beach. Lovely. I don't mind the open space for the sky there in fact it is really not that bad at all to be honest with you.

Nice textures of the land and the water. I love the juxtaposition between the little child and the "big city" skyscape within the distance. Wonderful tones and really great atmosphere with the fog.
